Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1: Fes → Ifrane → Ziz Valley → Merzouga Desert
Very early morning departure from Fes (around 6:00-7:00 AM).
Drive south through the Middle Atlas Mountains as the landscape quickly transforms from medieval medina to green mountains.
First stop: Ifrane - 'Little Switzerland of Morocco' with alpine-style architecture, sloped roofs and European atmosphere. See the famous stone lion sculpture, clean streets and manicured parks.

- Stop to observe wild Barbary macaque monkeys in their natural habitat

You'll typically arrive in Marrakech around 6:00-7:00 PM on Day 2, though this can vary depending on stops, traffic, and weather. We recommend not booking flights or trains from Marrakech on the evening of Day 2—plan to spend at least one night in Marrakech after the tour ends.
Do I need to bring my luggage to the desert camp?
No, just bring a small backpack with essentials for the overnight stay in the desert (warm layers, toiletries, camera, etc.). Your main luggage stays safely locked in the vehicle while you're at the camp. This makes the camel ride much more comfortable.
Can the camel trek be skipped?
Yes, if you prefer or have mobility concerns, we can arrange 4x4 transport directly to and from the camp instead of camels. Just let us know in advance. However, most guests find the camel experience to be a highlight of the tour.
